SUEZ has 9 specialised plants in Europe that treat 400,000 tonnes of plastic waste and produce 150,000 tonnes of recycled plastic every year.

Located near Maastricht in the Netherlands, QCP treats plastics from the Rotterdam sorting centre (household plastic packaging) and from industry. Since early 2016, the site has been producing recycled plastics of a quality that is sufficient to replace primary plastics of fossil origin.

Two types of high-density polyethylene (HDPE) and eight types of polypropylene copolymer (PPC) and produced and sold to the European plastics industry.

Currently standing at 25,000 tonnes per year, the production capacity will be increased to 50,000 tonnes per year by 2020, making the site one of Europe s leading producers of recycled plastics.

Against the backdrop of accelerating growth of the circular economy, QCP enables SUEZ to meet industry s rising demand for plastic, while also contributing to the achievement of environmental objectives.
