Legend says that Flaine
was created many a moon
ago when a giant came to
rest in the valley and fell asleep
with his head nestled into the
mountainside.
Flaine, the most avant garde of resorts
was created in the 1970’s, under the guidance of Eric Boissonnas
and a dedicated team of alpine enthusiasts. Marcel Breuer, one of
the great American architects of the 20th century and a master of
the Bauhaus style, introduced a bold and different architecture
that shaped Flaine.
Founding members of the Georges Pompidou centre and
passionate contemporary art enthusiasts, Eric & Sylvie
Boissonnas made Flaine into a centre for art. In 1970,
they founded the Centre d’Art welcoming works from well
known and new artists.
Thanks to them, Flaine is the only ski resort in the world
where we can contemplate at any time of the day works
of art by Picasso, Vasarely and Dubuffet. Creative
people will feel at home in Flaine.
Flaine regularly inspires artists and architects. MGM
has also been inspired to build ‘Le Centaure’ in
harmony with the spirit of the resort.

Flaine has something for everyone !
The residence is perfectly situated to take advantage
of this winter wonderland with direct and immediate
access into the Grand Massif with its 265 km of
diverse ski slopes, endless fields of powder for off-piste
action, a free ride park and cross country trails.
The magical Cascades is a 14 km long blue slope which
winds its way down through the forest to Sixt fer-aCheval without even passing one lift. In a few minutes,
the ‘Grandes Platieres’ cable car takes skiers from 1600
mtrs to 2500mtrs, the highest point of the Grand Massif
and an awesome view of Mont Blanc.
The ‘Jampark’, is an area of the slopes dedicated to
snowboarders and freestylers with varying terrain and
jumps to keep even the most extreme happy. The whole
ski area benefits from great snow and an impressive
amount of sunshine

The residence blends

The concept of Le Centaure is to integrate with the
rest of Flaine and at the same time display a new and
contemporary architecture.
The building layout will consist of intertwined duplex
apartments allowing each balcony to be south facing
in order to benefit from stunning views of
the Mont Blanc mountain range.
