collectively solve a major problem, workshops to exchange and share new know-how, conferences and demonstrations of solutions that have already proven their relevance and efficiency. But OSCEdays extends beyond this event and takes other forms too. Anyone can continuously participate in the forum and the guide to circular solutions on the online platform. It is also possible to organise events and develop local communities under the OSCEdays banner, either in close cooperation with the Berlin-based team, or independently. All these initiatives come together to form a fl uid, decentralised and open network.

Building the circular economy with the makers

Today, OSCEdays is trying to step up its impact and to demonstrate the movement s capacity to change society. The goal is to join forces with communities living in the age of making , after this period when we are rediscovering the virtues

Chaque année, un événement mondial est organisé à Berlin, où réside le siège de l équipe organisatrice. Il engage simultanément d autres communautés très actives, à Bogotá, au Cap, à Chicago, à Guéret ou encore à Singapour. En 2016, environ 70 villes ont participé à des hackathons pour résoudre collectivement une problématique majeure, à des workshops pour échanger et partager sur de nouveaux savoir-faire, à des conférences ou des démonstrations de solutions qui ont prouvé leur pertinence et leur eff icacité . Mais les OSCEdays se développent aussi au-delà de ce seul événement et prennent d autres formes : chacun peut participer en continu sur une plateforme en ligne via un forum et un guide des solutions circulaires. En outre, il est possible d organiser des événements et de développer des communautés locales sous la bannière OSCEdays, soit en lien étroit avec l équipe de Berlin, soit en autogestion. L ensemble de ces initiatives forme un réseau fluide, décentralisé, ouvert.

Construire l économie circulaire avec les makers

Les OSCEdays cherchent aujourd hui à renforcer leur impact et à montrer la capacité du mouvement à transformer la société. L objectif est aussi de se rapprocher des communautés qui s inscrivent dans « l ère du faire », du nom de cette période où l on redécouvre les vertus de l artisanat et du bricolage. Ces nouveaux bricoleurs, qu on nomme makers, se retrouvent dans les fablabs ou makerspaces, des ateliers de conception et de fabrication collaboratifs. Documenter les solutions qui fonctionnent est au cœur de cette ambition : c est à partir de cela que chacun pourra tester et implémenter ces solutions localement et créer de nouvelles communautés. Des « documentation jams »5, ou sessions intensives d écriture collaborative, ont ainsi été lancée s en 2017 pour accélérer le processus. Food Systems Lab, laboratoire d innovation sociale qui lutte contre le gaspillage alimentaire à Toronto, y cherche par exemple à partager sa méthodologie et à recueillir d autres points de vue. Durant ces sessions, d autres mettent déjà en ligne la notice de tel ou tel objet qu ils ont conçu de manière circulaire sur la plateforme Wikifab6 souvent appelée « le Wikipédia du bricolage ».
