circularity, a necessary condition for sustainable food

In the Challenge section, Bertrand Camus shares his vision of the links between protecting the planet and food. To sustainably feed 10 billion people, the entire food chain must be converted to sustainable solutions.

Feeding the planet is an immense challenge. The global population continues to grow, while the necessary resources (water, soil, biodiversity, etc.) are under increased threat from the proven effects of climate change. And every day, rampant urbanisation gains more and more ground at the expense of arable land. Rising up this challenge requires the advent of a more sustainable food supply, particularly in line with the principles of the circular economy. It is still not too late. Solutions already exist, and we are helping to implement them.
