" The Maison s history is rooted in the Age of Enlightenment during which it was founded. We have a long- standing passion for art, which conveys an enlightened vision of the world and, in particular, the connection between people and nature." FRÉDÉRIC DUFOUR, President of Ruinart
Born in the Age of Enlightenment, the first Champagne House has retained its cultured spirit. In 1896, it commissioned a poster from the young painter Alphonse Mucha, whose style is emblematic of art nouveau. As an extension of its commitment to innovation and creation, art is an integral part of Maison Ruinart.
Celebrating its 300th anniversary in 2029, Ruinart has decided to make the encounter between art and sustainability the focus of this commemoration. Each year until 2029, a work of art will be created in the heart of its historic terroir, enriching the Maison s symbolic heritage. By inviting them to the Champagne region where it has its roots, Ruinart supports contemporary artists whose understanding of nature and the climate sheds light on our vision of the world.
