As part of the countdown to its 300th anniversary, Maison Ruinart has called on land art pioneer NILS-UDO to create a work of art in the heart of its Taissy vineyard. This historic plot of land is the site of a vitiforestry pilot project to promote biodiversity. Ecological corridors have been traced and hedges have been replanted to make more room for local fauna and flora. The artist used vines and shoots from the rows that have been removed to create sculptural HABITATS that birds, squirrels, bees, caterpillars, butterflies and ladybirds can make their home. These monumental creations will contribute to regenerating the vineyard. When art nurtures life.
My work is a means of opening our eyes to the nature around us.
