Enjoy an outstanding position
An area of international trade since time immemorial, the Chamonix
Mont-Blanc valley is an essential junction between Northern and
Southern Europe. Ideally situated at the heart of the Northern Alps, it is
directly linked to the major cross-boarder routes.
Accordingly, Italy is only half an hour away by road through the MontBlanc tunnel. Switzerland is even closer. Argentière is actually linked
to the town of Vallorcine and Switzerland via the col des Montets where
the reception chalet for the Aiguilles Rouges Nature Reserve is located.
The autoroute Blanche takes you to Geneva in under an hour. There, you
can reach far-flung destinations from the international airport.
Unless you prefer sailing on the peaceful Lake Geneva, a jaunt through
Valais, also known as “the country of the 4'000” so many peaks of this
altitude or more are gathered in this mountainous canton - without
however equalling the extraordinary Mont-Blanc!
