Our Collections Both our Classic and RHS collections are handcrafted in our Cotswold workshop to the same high standards using the same premium materials. However on closer inspection they are very different, with the RHS structures using around 50% more timber and materials compared with an equal sized structure from the Classic collection.
The Classic collection takes its cues from a mix of traditional wooden Greenhouse design combined with modern minimalism. The RHS collection on the other hand is reminiscent of ornate Victorian architecture, using a more decorative aesthetic, being taller, with higher eaves, a steeper roof pitch and using turned finials on the gable ends.
The Classic collection, apart from the Classic Planthouses and Grow & Stores, all have smooth running sliding doors, whereas the RHS collection uses hinged doors hung with heavy duty solid brass or polished stainless steel butt hinges.
Another difference between the two collections is the size of the glass panels. Whereas the Classic collection uses panels which are approximately 2 foot wide, the panels used in the RHS collection are much narrower at only 1 foot 2 inches.
As standard the Classic collection is glass to ground, although the glass panes can be replaced with Cedar panels if required, whereas the Classic Planthouses and the RHS collection have Cedar Base Boards as standard with the option of being erected onto a Dwarf Wall instead.
