Innovation continues
to be our driving force
Over 70% of our projects integrate an innovative idea or
a cutting-edge technology—enabling us to build better,
faster and more ecoresponsibly for our clients partners
and communities
Farzaneh from our research and development lab Sina our
robotics expert Nabila a virtual design and construction
coordinator in all 130 people ref lect each day on the future
of our industry test new technologies and deploy them on
construction sites
A spark was lit in 2012 when we became one of the f irst
in Canada to adopt building information modelling BIM
a collaborative process facilitated by digital technologies
BIM at the heart of the digital shift
The advent of BIM triggered the metamorphosis of our
industry boosting its productivity and alleviating the short
age of skilled workers
For example BIM enabled us to improve planning identify
problems on site before they arise decrease the number
of change orders meet the highest quality standards and
carry out complex projects We saved time and money And
reduced our ecological footprint
During the facility management and maintenance phase
BIM opens some big doors It can provide the data our cli
ents need to optimize their infrastructures life cycle and
the value of their investments
Collaboration paves the way
BIM robotics the Internet of things and artif icial intelligence
are encouraging collaboration in the sector so that these
cuttingedge tools can reach their full potential They are
our priorities
We want to continue to steer this digital shift to promote
exchanges with our ecosystem and to partner with other
innovative companies to stimulate our own capacity for
innovation For instance we sit on one of Boston Dynam
ics consultative committees where we talk about the
future of robotics in various industries
