RHS Harlow Carr - by 12 Panels
An exquisite collection of Western Red Cedar greenhouses named after the beautiful RHS gardens. Styled with an Edwardian aesthetic, slender glass panes and 45 degree roof pitch completing the elegant feeling of this design. They include either
Western Red Cedar base panels or the greenhouse can sit on a dwarf wall. Standard eves height included.
®The Royal Horticultural Society. The Royal Horticultural Society, and it s logo, are trade marks of the The Royal Horticultural Society. (Registered Charity No. 222879/SC038262) and used under licence from RHS Enterprises Limited.
CEDAR: The framework and cladding are top grade Western Red Cedar grown on the Western Sea Board of North America. This timber contains natural preservatives and does not easily warp or bend being straight grained. These features have made it popular in the construction and garden industries as it is very stable, strong and lasts a long time in inclement climates. All our cedar is sourced from certified, sustainable forests.
There is a wide colour variation in the raw material which mellows to an even silver grey as it is exposed to weathering. During this process, the cedar absorbs moisture readily which brings natural preservatives to the surface of the wood. This increases its preservation properties while changing colour.
GLASS: All our structures are glazed in Toughened Safety Glass to European Standard EN.12150
FIXINGS: These are a combination of solid brass and stainless steel, both being suitable for use with Western Red Cedar due to their resistance to corrosion by the timber and extreme weather conditions.
ALUMINIUM: We use powder coated aluminium to provide weather protection and ventilation.
The gutters and downspouts are solid aluminium and compatible with rainwater collection systems including tanks and butts.
The cedar roof spars are protected with capping containing neoprene gaskets securing the glass and ensuring the structure is sound.
All products sit on an aluminium plinth raising the timber off the ground and protecting it from rising moisture, giving a stronger fixing to the foundation.
All Greenhouses have our unique automated ventilated ridge using heat sensitive openers.
The ridge runs the entire length of the structure providing good ventilation for prime growing conditions.
OPTIONAL EXTRAS: Including additional sash windows, integrated cedar staging and shelving and louvre vents. Cedar base panels can replace glazing panes to provide additional insulation or shading in the walls. Internal blinds are available to reduce glare and lower summer temperatures.
If you have a project you would like to discuss or need prices please contact us.
