Ruwais Industrial Complex and TA ZIZ cover 85 square kilometers, greater than the size of Manhattan Island, making it among the top 10 largest industrial zones in the world. The industrial complex includes the world s fourth-largest refinery, amongst the world s largest integrated polyolefin complexes and world-scale petrochemical and processing facilities.
The UAE s strategic location gives quick access to other Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries and the large growth markets of the Indian subcontinent, Africa and Asia. The UAE has long served as the logistical hub connecting the east with the west allowing producers to benefit from this significant trade flow.
With secure sources of low cost energy, world-class infrastructure, flexible labor markets and a high quality of life, Ruwais presents a compelling value proposition.
The Ruwais Industrial Complex enjoys secure access to abundant, high-quality and competitive feedstock,
world-class scalable land and marine infrastructure, advantaged logistics, state-of-the-art machinery and a highly experienced international managerial force.
ADNOC s downstream and industry strategy is strengthening Ruwais as a world-scale, globally competitive integrated site, through investments that include the creation of the dedicated TA ZIZ site. TA ZIZ will act as a catalyst for the next stage of industrial transformation as partners invest in and produce new products and solutions from the diverse range of feedstocks available.
For the TA ZIZ Industrial Chemicals Zone, ADNOC and ADQ are investing USD $5 billion (18 billion AED) to create an industrial ecosystem with a new port, utilities, infrastructure, feedstock supply and shared services. These facilities will be available to new investors through an integrated ecosystem, meaning that new projects can be plugged into the existing site infrastructure, lowering the cost of investment, and further enhancing competitive position.
