Psychologists and theorists have

been writing about mindsets since the

1980s, but the term was popularised by

Carol Dweck in her landmark 2006 book

Mindset: The New Psychology of Success.

The book was based on decades of research,

leading to one simple but incredibly powerful concept:

that how we think about our talents and abilities

determines our success whether as parents, teachers,

athletes, artists or employees.
