EUROPACITY - In the centre of Mitte, next to Central Station, government buildings and cultural sites, sits one of the city s most important endeavors Europacity. This 61-hectare regeneration scheme intends to rejuvenate a combat-era brownfield site to cater to the needs of all Berliners.

The proposed 232,000 sqm office space aims to make a dent in the 1.5 million sqm deficit currently plaguing Berlin. Early projects have been snapped up at an astonishing rate, with the area already playing host to major employers such as KPMG, PwC and TOTAL.

EUROPACITY FLOOR SPACE ALLOCATION -

5,560 sqm of retail and food space will create constant revenue for the neighborhood and, should travel be necessary, Berlin Central Station connects directly to the Heidestrasse. The National Art Gallery also sits minutes away and is visited by over a quarter million people every year, who flock to admire priceless works of modern art.

Europacity will be one of Berlin s largest employment nodes. This will have a profound effect on the micro- location in terms of both commerce and the real estate market. Increased demand for housing from highly-skilled professionals in combination with an already acute supply shortage in Mitte is expected to result in high levels of capital and rental growth for the foreseeable future. Europacity is due for completion by 2025.
