Fully toughened glassware has been strengthened across its entire body making the

glass resistant to damage at all points. This makes the glass stronger than regular

annealed glass. When toughened glass does break it will break into small fragments

making it impossible to cause serious lacerations. Increased durability reduces

replenishment, saving money.

• Toughened glass is treated by using extreme heat and then cooling

rapidly which balances the tension stored in the glass core.

• The glass tension makes the glass strong and much more resistant to a

mechanical and thermal shock.

• Tension gives safe break characteristics, meaning once broken no shards

or sharp edges are left.

• Toughening is across the whole glass, including the stem for safety.
