The Bank of Portugal reports the country's economy registered a 2.1% increase in GDP in 2018, a figure above the Euro Zone average. Looking ahead, future growth of 1.9% per annum continues Portugal's convergence with more developed countries within the region.

Unemployment remains on a similarly positive trajectory, with predictions indicating a decline to under 7% by the end of 2019, reflecting not only the buoyancy of local companies but also the entry of new international corporations.

Portugal's real estate industry is booming, with Lisbon and Porto now acting as two of the most desirable investment locations worldwide.
