Manage yourself Many people find the idea of speaking in public stressful or unnerving. There are several simple techniques you can use to manage yourself before and during the presentation.

Careful planning will help you to feel confident, so you know exactly what
you’re doing and understand your audience. Arrive at the venue early, check
your equipment and the room layout, and do a final rehearsal in the room. The
process is similar when delivering virtually: set up your room in advance, have your
slides ready, check the audio, and be ready for your audience to arrive.
Practice is vital. Run through your presentation a few times to test how it sounds and feels, preferably with someone listening and giving you feedback. Focus on the beginning and end, as this is where you make the most impact; you need to start
and finish confidently.
