Introduction We ve created this digital book to support staff reflections on student-focused practice by increasing understanding of:

Prevalence of adverse experiences in the student population and how these can impact relationships, approaches to solving problems and seeking help Principles of trauma-informed practice and how these principles can be put into practice to develop constructive relationships and positive outcomes with students

We want to work with our students, not on them or for them, and have learned from students experiences in preparing this interactive book. It includes students testimonies and poems, research findings, practical tools, videos and academic articles for you to explore as suits you.
