Individual Goals Our projects can be complex and are similar to a circuit, which requires the right amount of energy and all the individual pieces to work well together.

Just as every piece of a circuit has its part to play, so do your employees. Show them how to use their Top 5 Responsibilities to help them understand what the circuit needs to achieve. The next step is to select the right pieces required for the circuit to work by defining their Individual Goals.

To ensure alignment, efficiency, and effectiveness, employees should collaborate with you as their manager to define these goals. The responsibility for crafting great goals is now shared. As the manager, you communicate the team direction, and your employees are responsible for setting goals aligned with that direction.

Initially, you may need to offer extra support to make sure that your employees craft goals that give them energy, direction and meaning.
