Enjoy the local green space at The Rye, located in the town centre of High Wycombe, a short walk from the High Street. The park covers an area of more than 53 acres and is the second largest park in the district. At one end of the park are the public tennis courts and the Lido, an outdoor swimming pool open in the summer. At the other end of the park there is a stretch of water called the Dyke where many leisure activities are available including boat-renting.

For fitness lovers, the £25 million Wycombe Leisure Centre boasts a 150-station gym, 50m swimming pool and 12-court sports hall. There are also a number of other gyms nearby to suit all tastes including Anytime Fitness, David Lloyd and GymFit4Less. For sports fans, Wycombe Wanderers play their League Two Football home matches at Adams Park, just over a mile from Birch House.

If you re looking for entertainment, the Wycombe Swan Theatre presents some of the best music, theatre and comedy in the country with high-quality programming. The thriving entertainment complex is situated at the heart of High Wycombe town centre.

Lifestyle

With the country s capital on your doorstep, it s hard to believe that High Wycombe could tempt even the most ardent shopper to stay local -yet it has done just that with a busy high street and two shopping centres, the Chilterns and the recently redeveloped Eden Centre. Locals are well provided for with high-street chains and international brands covering a vast 805,000 square feet. The Eden Centre alone is home to over 100 shops, including Marks & Spencer, House of Fraser and New Look, as well as a bowling alley and a multi-screen cinema.

Shops & Leisure

As for dining out, High Wycombe offers endless choices to suit all tastes. There is a good selection of high street favourites and independent restaurants to be found, with locals regularly flocking to eateries such as Grillers, Bluegrass BBQ Smokehouse and Bombay Palace. Not forgetting the collection of traditional pubs including The Dashwood Arms and The Green Dragon.
