Preparing for interviews The next stage is to start attending interviews for the jobs you have successfully applied for.
Two things to remember when preparing for an interview:
1 It s a two-way process you are also assessing whether the job and the organization are right for you.
2 Interviewers want you to do your best, they are not trying to trip you up or make you look bad!

What competencies do you think the hiring manager will be looking for?
So how do you go about preparing for that all-important interview?
First of all you need to get a picture of what the recruiter or hiring manager is going to be looking for. You can do this by taking a close look at the advertisement or job description and picking out the skills, behavior and areas of knowledge or experience that are mentioned or that you think the job calls for. Put together, these are called competencies.
