Top tips for making a great impression at an interview
Do your homework on the job, the company and the interviewer. Aim to arrive around 10 minutes before the scheduled interview time. Turn off your cell phone! Walk tall - shoulders back, chin up, back straight. Smile warmly and genuinely. Relax your posture, sit comfortably and with no visible stiffness. Make eye contact but look away occasionally to avoid staring. Gesture warmly talk naturally and expressively with your hands. Nod, smile and laugh when the interviewer does, and subtly mirror their posture
and gestures.
Keep your voice steady, don t talk too fast or too slowly. Avoid distracting mannerisms such as foot tapping or running your hands
through your hair.
Dress professionally and appropriately - ask about the dress code in the workplace and choose your outfit accordingly.
Listen carefully and answer each question clearly and fully. Use appropriate language, avoid slang words and overly casual comments.
