Applying your understanding (continued)

Amiables - remember that it s not always important to

be liked, and learn to say no more often and to assert your

views more strongly.

Expressives - be more precise and systematic in

your approach, aim to follow through and complete all your

tasks, and sometimes rein in your more extravagant ideas.

Analyticals - learn to expect the unexpected and become

more comfortable with changing priorities and

big picture thinking.

Drivers - try to listen more than you speak, be more

personable and patient, and empathize with differing

perspectives.

No one style is wrong or right, and every style has it s pros and cons. Here are some things to think about, depending on your own natural preferred way of communicating .

These adjustments may initially seem uncomfortable and it might take a while to get used to communicating in a way that doesn t feel natural. But as your efforts begin to pay off, the awkwardness will disappear and you will notice the benefits in your relationships.
