What Are Communication Styles?
Defining our communication style is based on two basic characteristics and where we sit on the scale for each one from low to high:
ASSERTIVENESS how likely we are to express our needs directly and how comfortable we are with telling other people what to do.
Are you more likely to ask questions, seek information from others, and withhold your own opinions until you have done so? This approach is characterized as low assertiveness.
Or are you more likely to tell people directly what you think and need? This approach is characterized as high assertiveness.
