collection rate
If the 2024 collection rate is 58 the potential
maximum waste oil collection rate is around 68
according to a 2004 ADEME study Given the techni
cal progress made the improvements in the quality of
lubricants and equipment as well as better professional performance
in workshop practices this upper limit now seems obsolete These
signif icant advances optimise the use of oils consumption losses
etc and encourage their recovery In 2024 CYCLEVIA launched a
study to reevaluate the oil source and therefore this upper limit
The results are expected at the end of 2025
collection operations throughout France
In 2024, 240,000 tonnes of waste oils were collected.
Stable at slightly more than 58%, the collection rate exceeds
the 53% target set for 2025 despite a mechanical decrease
of 1.76% compared to 2023. This is due to the increase
in the declared tonnages placed on the market.
A collection rate that CYCLEVIA will closely monitor
over the next few years and which should
gradually increase.
