hile the producer responsibility organisation
advocates for intra-territorial circularity, the
regeneration market is no less European.
The percentage of oils regenerated outside of France
is increasing, rising from 23% to 25% for a total of
48,000 tonnes. A trend that can be explained by more
attractive buyback prices, purely geographical and
logistical considerations, but also by the quality of the
products obtained at the end of the treatment process.
At the same time, new regeneration operators are
registering with CYCLEVIA, attracted by the oil sources
and momentum of the market.

n 2024 regeneration and recycling operators must
comply with new data formats which will be sent to the
producer responsibility organisation and the ADEME
Acomprehensive breakdown must now be implemented
for all products resulting from treatment processes
such as base oils and their properties but also fuels
and bitumen The goal is to improve traceability and
circularity in the industry These declarations will have
to be made in 2025 for 2024 volumes
Three trends
