The construction industry is in the midst of a major transformation. Indeed, it is one of the sectors that is undergoing the fastest change.

In 2017, the consulting firm McKinsey made a harsh if optimistic diagnosis: the global construction industry is performing poorly in terms of productivity, but it could contribute about 2% more to the economy if it were able to catch up.

Construction is a critical sector, especially as it will spearhead the post-pandemic recovery. In Canada, it represents 7.5% of GDP, and global consultancy Roland Berger estimates projects announced between now and 2025 at $250 billion.

All players in the construction industry are now committed to modernizing it and are working together to build on the already promising improvements.
