2025 ANNUAL REPORT CYCLEVIA
2025 ANNUAL REPORT
CYCLEVIA embarked on two major projects
on Reunion Island : better collection equipment
at municipal waste recycling facilities and the
preparation of a ground - breaking collection
operation in the cirque de Mafate .
In the municipal waste recycling facilities
concerned , the producer responsibility organisation
accompanied the installation of two 1 , 000 litre
stainless steel drums intended to hold waste oil from
oil changes carried out by private individuals . More
robust and well - adapted to operating constraints ,
they secure storage , limit the risk of overf low and
facilitate evacuation . In parallel , CYCLEVIA prepared
an unprecedented collection operation in Mafate .
After having observed the accumulation of waste oil
on several islets and in the absence of a collection
point , in March 2026 , the producer responsibility
organisation put in place an operation to collect
and evacuate waste oil via helicopter in conjunction
with the ADEME , the Reunion National Park , the
French National Forestry Of f ice ( ONF ) and SUEZ .
To assess local waste oil treatment
alternatives in the overseas territo -
ries , between April and December
2024 , CYCLEVIA conducted an in - depth
study which was transmitted to the
French Ministry for Ecological Tran -
sition in February 2025 . The objective :
to compare , territory by territory , the
solutions that would minimise exports
to mainland France as much as possible .
The study draws up an inventory of
current practices , identif ies possible
regional outlets and analyses the treat -
ment technologies adapted to volumes
of less than 3 , 000 tonnes per year . For
each territory , the current solution and
relevant options were compared based
on weighted criteria : CO

emissions ,
logistical feasibility , costs , technical ma -
turity . . . Praised by the DGPR ( Directorate
General for Risk Prevention ) for its thor -
oughness , this analysis of fers CYCLEVIA
a solid basis to identify the most relevant
solutions from an environmental , tech -
nical and economic viewpoint . It namely
brings to light new avenues to develop
( where relevant ) local alternatives to
exporting waste oil to mainland France .
In the long - term , these works should
enable CYCLEVIA to set adapted targets
for each region and to have a clear
roadmap for the coming years .

REUNION ISLAND
Collection experiments , partnerships with players
in the f ield , logistical support , increased expertise . . .
In the seven overseas territories , CYCLEVIA is putting
in place solutions adapted to local realities . Behind
these ef forts , a national ambition , driven by its waste
management and prevention plan : to align overseas
performances with those in mainland France .

COLLECTION FIGURES PER TERRITORY ( GROSS TONNES )
This drop is explained by logistical delays particular to overseas departments and territories collected waste oil can remain in transit before being counted on entry to a treatment
facility in mainland France The discrepancy must be put into perspective in relation to 2024 a year which was marked by signif icant volumes being delivered for treatment
Alongside Entreprises et
Environnement CYCLEVIA has
renewed its participation in
the Kay Pwop collection runs
These event based collections
of fer private individuals a
simple solution to deposit waste oil and raise
awareness regarding best sorting practices In
2025 11 operations brought together more than
800 private individuals and enabled 1 8 tonnes
of oil to be collected After the 2 2 tonnes
collected in 2024 the mechanism is slowly
becoming established on a long term basis
Local collection continues
with Kay Pwop
Small garages play a key role in collecting waste oil but
they sometimes lack the equipment or accompaniment to
properly structure practices CYCLEVIA is therefore support
ing the Garage Propre label developed by the Chamber
of Trades and Crafts An of f icial partner of the mechanism
in Martinique the producer responsibility organisation is
accompanying garages to bring them into compliance and
f inancing the installation of collection drums for certif ied
establishments Since the signature of the partnership
a f irst garage has been awarded the label marking impor
tant progress in relaying prevention messages and best
practices within professional networks at local level
CYCLEVIA is backing the “ Garage
Propre ” ( Clean Garage ) label

KEY FIGURES
For every euro collected as eco -
fees * in the overseas departments
and territories , CYCLEVIA spent an
average of six times more in 2025
to successfully fulf il its mission .
Given that its general interest
mission is national , CYCLEVIA intervenes according
to the needs of each territory rather than the sum
of fees collected there .
×6
* Paid by local marketers and importers
in every territory .
This figure is a
very concrete
illustration of
our commitment in the
overseas departments
and territories . We do
not intervene according to what each territory
generates in terms of eco - fees , but according
to its real needs . This is a strong conviction
at CYCLEVIA : our mission is nationwide and
must permit the performances in the overseas
departments and territories to be similar to
those in mainland France . Out roadmap is
clear ; the prevention and management plan
validated in 2024 guides us on a territory -
by - territory basis . This supposes investing
significant means , both financial and in terms
of action , but also studying local treatment
solutions to limit waste oil exports towards
mainland France wherever possible . ”
