2025 ANNUAL REPORT

Mayotte

In December 2024 the passage of cyclone Chido delayed the measures

prepared by CYCLEVIA and its partners to improve waste oil collection

An initial post event visit in September 2025 reignited discussions and clarif ied the

next steps CYCLEVIA is drawing support from its partnership with TotalEnergies

Mayotte seven service stations are set to host drop of f points for members of

the public The producer responsibility organisation is also preparing to reactivate

the Boina Matra network with a dozen garages to be re equipped with waste

oil collection drums An information campaign will accompany the launch in late

2027 on an island that currently has only one municipal waste recycling facility

From October   2025 , inhabitants were able to drop of f their

waste oil containers free of charge at the Vulco garage in

Cayenne , where a collection point was up for a six - month

duration . The mechanism , installed in a car park reserved

for clients , consisted in a 200   litre metallic drum accessible

during store opening hours . A second drum was also available

to ensure a rotation and avoid any risk of saturation . This

operation added to the network of municipal recycling facilities

by proposing a solution closer to public consumption habits .

To accompany the experiment , CYCLEVIA and Barbotteau

group , owner of the Vulco franchise in the region , rolled out a

multi - channel awareness - raising campaign : local radio , posters ,

educational content in stores and information conveyed

via social media . Its objective ? To remind the public of the

hazards of this waste and lastingly establish new ref lexes .

Moving towards relaunching collection

services after cyclone Chido

A waste oil drop - of f point

adapted to local uses

CYCLEVIA participated in

the producer responsibility

organisations seminar on EPR

which took place in Saint - Pierre -

et - Miquelon . This trip had the

objective of consolidating links

with local stakeholders , in a region

where , despite its remoteness , the

waste management dynamic , taken

charge of by EPR sectors , is   speeding

up . During three days of   exchanges

and co - development , the producer

responsibility organisation

checked the installation of waste

oil drums , contributed towards

preparing the opening of the

Miquelon municipal waste recycling

facility and presented its turnkey

communication tools to raise

awareness among inhabitants .

facilities to guarantee

adapted treatment and avoid

discharges into networks or

natural spaces . Ma collecte

offers us a quick response ,

which is essential to avoid

disruptions to flows on our

sites . The tool is simple to

use , it ’ s easy to access for our
