The year 2022 was dedicated to the development and
deployment of several innovative initiatives. Many projects
moved forward, transitioning from AXLAB to the development
phase. The multitude of initiatives underway illustrates the
degree to which innovation is integrated in all our approaches
and is benef itting all our departments. In 2022, we deployed
45 employees—up from 39 in 2021—to work regularly on
research and development projects.

Several innovations deployed in 2022 are enabling us to
make informed decisions based on the projects environment
and contributing to advancing our priorities in environmental
protection and social impact For example we are using
sensors to measure ambient air vibrations and sound
levels generated by our work sites to mitigate our impact
on neighbouring communities
We developed a dashboard in ArcGIS to centralize the
information from various sensors and produced a best
practice guide for using sensors to support our project
teams and encourage them to use sensors on our sites
