2020 CRUISE COLLECTION: DIOR CELEBRATES AFRICAN FASHION
In May 2019, Marrakesh hosted the Dior
2020 Cruise show, inspired by the wealth of
African culture. Experts such as Uniwax, one of
the few manufacturers of this rich and complex
fabric remaining in Africa (Abidjan, Côte d Ivoire),
helped weave the Dior touch into the textiles.
Grace Wales Bonner, winner of the 2016 LVMH
Prize, and African-American painter Mickalene
Thomas contributed their visions to the collection,
a celebration of cultural plurality. The African
designer Pathé Ouédraogo, known as Pathé O,
designed a shirt exclusively for the show in tribute
to Nelson Mandela.
AN INCLUSIVE VISION OF BEAUTY
With a range of products designed for all skin

partnership with the KENDO group, the brand is
available through Sephora and was developed
with the clear intention that absolutely no one was
to be excluded.
