Le grand retour des explorateurs

Si notre compréhension du fonctionnement de l océan s améliore sans cesse, il reste aujourd hui encore beaucoup à faire. D après la NOAA7, 95 % des mers resteraient à explorer. Par-delà les océans, l époque des grandes découvertes avait permis de découvrir de nouveaux mondes. Aujourd hui, au XXIe siècle, les explorations concourent, elles, à mieux cohabiter avec cet océan-monde pour mieux le préserver. Nous entrons dans l ère d explorations d un nouveau genre. Dans ce milieu inhospitalier pour l homme, robots, drones, caméras, infrastructures connectées et capteurs sont de précieux alliés. We are entering an era of a new form of exploration. In an environment that is inhospitable for humans, robots, drones, cameras, connected infrastructures and sensors are valuable allies. At the same time, big data has arrived in the oceans and will help us to gain a greater understanding of the oceans depths, as
