an app to tackle food waste

Inspired by the platform-based economic model popularised by Uber and Airbnb, Lucie Basch developed Too good to go , an app to tackle food waste that is now up and running in five other countries. She has about twenty employees working with her to build an anti-food waste community around a network of businesses. SUEZ went to meet the young startuper.

What conviction led you to launch this project?

It is a simple observation on a global scale, we throw away a third of all food produced, so we had to find a solution to address the problem of food waste. Therefore, the concept of Too good to go came from the idea that digital technology can be used on a daily basis to help in the fight against this specific issue.
