Pomerleau intends to go further than just minimizing our impact on the environ- ment. Our company wants to work and innovate within the ecological transition. And thanks to our circular economy goals, which make it possible to transform residual materials - we contribute directly to a low-carbon economy and a Net Zero world.
Our project sites are supplied with more than 1,000 items that are classified as consumable goods: tools, appliances, furniture for construction trailers, etc. These represent more than 5 million dollars in inventory. Our circularity program for consumables ensures furniture supplies and appliances are deep-cleaned and reused, which reduces new purchases of these types of goods by 34%.
A new responsible procurement policy makes it possible to integrate ESG criteria into our purchasing processes. In addition to existing criteria like cost, quality, and delivery times, we will select partners and suppliers with serious environmental policies, practices, and per- formance, based on criteria such as:
→ Recognized environmental and social distinctions and certifications;
→ The content of recycled materials in their goods and materials;
→ Their efforts to reduce packaging;
→ The opportunity to source from the Canadian market;
→ The possibility of creating long-term partnerships.

Our considerations are based, among other things, on collaborative workshops done with the Centre for Intersectoral Studies and Research (CERIEC) at the École de technologie supérieure (ÉTS) engineering school, with whom we are working to stimulate circularity in the construction sector in Quebec.
By 2025, document the ESG performance of 100% of our strategic suppliers of goods, materials, and services during the procurement process.
