We are also a member of the Canadian Council for Aboriginal Business to expand our knowledge and build relationships towards a thriving indigenous economy.

Formalizing an engagement policy

We now want to formalize our intention to contribute to reconciliation with Indigenous peoples, through the development of a formal enga- gement policy. The spirit of our approach is to promote the creation of wealth by, for, and with Indigenous peoples.

That s why we have mandated a FOX team specializing in the ma- nagement of projects carried out in collaboration with Indigenous communities, to guide our thinking and our actions. FOX's work has already led to a series of recommendations whose short-term actions have quickly received the approval of the Executive Committee, in particular:

Indigenous peoples have been on the margins of Canada's economic and social development for too long. I am guided by a deep desire to include Indigenous workers and businesses in our operations, and to help create shared and long-term prosperity.

By 2022, hire an Indigenous Relations Advisor to implement a strategy that allows for the full participation of Indigenous peoples in Pomerleau's operations.

Target 2022

By 2023, we want all of our teams to have benefited from a workshop to raise awareness about the cultural realities experienced by Indigenous peoples.
