We were humbled to participate in and be part of the Grand Economic Circle of Indigenous People and Quebec, whose spirit is to promote the socio-economic self-determination of Indigenous peoples through the creation of business relationships. During this historic event, Pomerleau signed the Declaration for the Full Participation of Indigenous Peoples in Quebec s Economy.

Identifying mutually beneficial business partnerships and maximizing the participation of Indigenous workers in our projects is a major focus. We have initiated a study in collaboration with a number of Indigenous and non-Indigenous organizations that are aware of the unique realities of First Nations communities located in the lowlands of the St. Lawrence in Quebec. The aim of the study is to encourage Indigenous workers and firms to participate on Pomerleau projects that are anticipated to take place over the next 5 years.

Because we believe education and dialogue are powerful forces for change, and to promote equal relationships with Indigenous commu- nities, we donated $50,000 to two charities:
→ Indspire: An organization dedicated to the education of First Na- tions, Inuit, and Métis Peoples so that they can realize their greatest potential.
→ Reconciliation Canada: An Indigenous-led organization dedicated to motivating meaningful relationships among all communities in Canada through open, honest, and values-based communications of inclusion.
