Ils affinent le travail de Don Ciclo, notre « recycleur », qui crée les instruments à partir des déchets, ajoutent par exemple les cordes des guitares, les essaient, etc. En théorie, les enfants de la communauté avaient déjà accès à la musique, mais le contexte social les empêche de s en servir : un violon coûte extrêmement cher, un membre de leur famille peut finir par le vendre ou il peut tout simplement être volé. C est l avantage de nos instruments recyclés : ils sont plus accessibles et font moins d envieux !
Quel impact votre orchestre a-t-il eu au sein de la communauté ?
Nous avons démontré à tous qu il était permis de se projeter dans l avenir.
instruments. Metal cans, pieces of wood, flasks, jam jars... We tried all sorts of things. Some of them worked, others didn t. The children, who have been with us in the workshop since the very beginning, also help to transform the waste. They finish off the work done by our recycler, Don Ciclo, who makes the instruments from waste, by adding the guitar strings for example, and test them. In theory, the children in the community could already learn music, but the social situation prevents them from playing. Violins are very expensive, and a member of their family could end up selling them, or they could even be stolen. This is the advantage of our recycled instruments: they are affordable to all, so no-one feels envious!
