HEALTH AND SAFETY
For us, health and safety is not negotiable. It’s simple: we want
every person—whether they’re a part of our teams, a client, a
partner or someone just passing by our worksite—to go home
without injury, each and every day. Our objective is clear: to
continue improving our performance while strengthening our
commitment to health and safety throughout the organization.
We want to be an example when it comes to occupational health
and safety (OHS) in our industry. Our President and CEO and
Vice President of Health and Safety actively participate in the
initiatives of the Canadian Construction Safety Council (CCSC),
which brings together 12 of the biggest general contractors
in Canada. This collaboration is an exceptional opportunity to
have a positive impact on OHS practices and culture in the
industry. Together, we’ve striving to raise safety standards.
One of the CCSC’s important achievements in 2024 was the
adoption of safety helmets that offer better protection.
Transparency and innovation are our allies. We focus on training,
raising awareness and communication at all levels, including
our trade partners’ teams. We also integrate innovative tech-
nologies and tools to constantly improve our practices. When
an accident occurs, we make sure everyone is aware of it. Each
week, our teams get a recap of incidents that have occurred
with advice on how to prevent them from recurring. In the event
of a major accident, an alert is immediately issued. And every
one of our pre-shift meetings starts with an OHS moment—a
reminder that health and safety remain our absolute priority.
The rate of serious injuries or fatalities
dropped by 78% among our teams and
those of our trade partners—a major
accomplishment far exceeding our
25% goal.
We earned a Certif icate of Recognition
(COR) nationally—recognition
that conf irms the quality of our
OHS management system and the
competence of our people.
Our teams received over 47,000 hours
of health and safety training.
