Our Performance in 2024
Our commitment to equity, diversity and inclusion remains
robust. In 2024, we improved our compensation practices by
addressing pay equity during annual reviews and throughout
our promotion processes.
We’re particularly proud to see that the representation of women
in management positions increased from 21% to 24%. Two of the
eight members of our Executive Committee are women serving
as executive vice-presidents, while there were none in 2020.
We’ve also made progress at the middle management level,
increasing the proportion of women 23% to 26%—a positive
change at multiple levels of our organization.
We also reviewed our f lagship leadership programs—Horizon for
emerging leaders, Vision for new managers and Inf luence for
superintendents—to make sure they welcome diversif ied talent
in all regions. Soon, these programs will include EDI coaching
or training components—sometimes both.
This year, for the f irst time, we integrated sustainable deve-
lopment objectives into our performance evaluations, with
results that speak for themselves: over 840 of our people set
sustainable development objectives, with close to one-third
targeting EDI advancement. This approach helps us develop
our people while linking everyone’s contributions to our sus-
tainable development vision.
Our Respect and Civility Training Program, launched in 2024, with
72% participation among our administrative teams, stems from
our anti-harassment and discrimination policy. It ensures that
everyone shares a common vision, understands their responsi-
bilities, learns to prevent potential harassment or discrimination
situations and contributes to an inclusive environment.
We also offered hands-on EDI coaching to 113 managers to
help them recognize and encourage inclusive practices within
their teams.
And we apply our EDI principles directly at our worksites. Real
improvements include adding protective equipment adapted
to women, like well-f itted vests and gloves, and reconf iguring
construction site trailers with the addition of partitions for pri-
vacy in changing rooms.
