Slimane sought to evoke how the look and feel of fashion have evolved among today s youth faced with an uncertain future: the urge and the desire to seize the day, to make one s mark against all odds, and to witness the emergence of new codes. Celine s hallmarks were transposed into a new visual language; a new attitude; a nonchalant, sporty look infused with an athletic aesthetic.
