Launch of the
Electric Vehicle
Program
Reduction of emissions
from our heating
equipment
→ Green value chain → Climate change
Any employee who would like to acquire an electric or hybrid
vehicle for their personal and professional use now has
access to a $2,000 f inancial incentive. This measure is in
addition to the public transit reimbursement program offered
since 2011.
With the Electric Vehicle Program, we’re improving our offer
to encourage our employees to adopt more sustainable
means of transportation to decarbonize our activities. Over
the course of the next year, we will monitor the emissions
prevented through this program.
In collaboration with two external partners, we’ve developed
an initiative to evaluate two potential solutions that would
enable us to reduce the GHG emissions generated by our
temporary heating equipment. Presently deployed as a pilot
project, this innovation in the form of a smart control unit
provides better monitoring of the temperature in the work
environment for the comfort of our teams, while reducing fuel
consumption, costs and GHG emissions.
In 2023, we will analyze the benef its of this initiative to better
understand its potential for reducing GHG emissions across
the company.
After having undertaken this intelligent control unit project
to monitor heating on the site, I realized that thanks to
our sense of innovation and our spirit of collaboration, we
can hope to attain our GHG reduction target. While it’s an
ambitious target, we’re putting in place concrete initiatives
today to respond to the needs of tomorrow. I’m proud to
be contributing in my way to greening our industry.
