An open and transparent
approach
The strength of our approach is our collective intelligence.
That’s why we encourage everyone to share their vision
and ideas, through a culture of collaboration, openness and
transparency.
This philosophy of horizontal management applies to the pro-
cesses we use to develop and approve new ESG initiatives.
Open and two-way communication throughout the process
allows us to be agile in terms of ESG innovation, and ensures
that good ideas emerge and continuously improve.
Business ethics,
a key issue
We take very seriously our role in preventing, detecting
and addressing corruption, anti-competitive behaviour and
non-compliance.
To give us the means to accomplish our goals in terms of ethics
and compliance, in 2022 we introduced new organizational
policies and rigorous control mechanisms to support our high
ethics standards.
— Adoption of an anti-corruption policy
— Establishment of an anonymous
and conf idential reporting line
— Analysis of risks and implementation
of measures to mitigate them
— Introduction of internal audits
and sound governance practices
— Development of monitoring, prevention
and support tools for personnel
— Implementation of a register to report conf licts
of interest for new employees
— Review of our code of ethics (underway)
In 2023, our Ethics and Compliance team will continue laying
the groundwork for its program based on the policies and
control measures we def ined. Ultimately, our hope is that ques-
tions about our business integrity will be an integral part of our
decision-making processes to preserve our good standing.
The ethics program prioritizes employee training and awareness.
It aims to detect potential non-compliance with laws or with our
code of ethics and policies, for our employees as well as for
our subcontractors and partners, through a reporting mecha-
nism, among other means. Guided by our values, our corporate
culture encourages our teams to discuss ethical issues openly
and resolve them as they arise. Thanks to the expertise of the
Ethics and Compliance team, resources are available to guide
our people in making decisions about ethical dilemmas.
