$1.38 million
for communities
→ Collective prosperity → Community relations
In 2022, we donated over $1.38 million to various organiza-
tions that support the growth of the communities where we
work. Half of this sum was earmarked for projects related to
the health of the population in these communities. The rest
went to initiatives in education, construction and the envi-
ronment, as well as sums for the exclusive use of Indigenous
organizations in Canada, and for discretionary giving.
Engagement
with children
Our contribution to the CHU Sainte-Justine Foundation was
fruitful for a second consecutive year. In 2021, alongside
other major donors, we signed a f ive-year $300,000 part-
nership. This paved the way for many projects for the bene-
f it of children and their families. These include support to
patients in mental health, increasing the telemedicine offer
and expanding Tout doux, a program to humanize care by
supporting pain management, procedural anxiety as well as
acute and chronic pain in children.
In addition to this donation, some of our employees gave of
their time to participate in the CHU Sainte-Justine’s winter
triathlon to support the cause of mothers and sick children.
The CHU Sainte-Justine brings together the brightest minds
in research, teaching and health care as part of a mother and
child focussed continuum.
Pomerleau is an invaluable ally for the CHU Sainte-Justine
Foundation. Its ongoing support over the years, be it through
transformative donations or its participation in fundraising
events, has led to concrete benef its for many children and
their families, throughout Quebec. Thanks to the gener
-
osity of trusted partners like Pomerleau, Sainte-Justine’s
teams can continue to push the boundaries of pediatrics and
deliver the best care to children and mothers-to-be, by offer-
ing them a healthy future.
