Health and safety
The occupational health and safety (OHS) of our employees is part of our DNA. That’s why
we have our eye on prevention, awareness, training and sharing. Our robust and mature
OHS management system, as well as our full-time team of 106 specialized health and safety
resources on our work sites, ensure the protection of our workers and accident prevention.
Our system is based on the Certif icate of Recognition (COR) program that covers all our
work site activities outside Quebec. And we plan to obtain COR certif ication in Quebec in
2023. This is the springboard we need to achieve the ISO 45001:2018 standard that we’re
striving to obtain in 2024 for all of our operations, coast to coast.
This certif ication conf irms the standardization of our OHS practices and contributes to the
continuous improvement of our operations. Every person on our work sites—from the mem-
bers of our team to our trade partners—must adhere to our culture of prevention. We’re also
leveraging technology, automation and digitalization to ensure the immediate and future
well-being of our work teams.
In 2022, 51,239 of our employees, workers and trade partners received risk and prevention
awareness training offered directly on our work sites. We also led 1,143 pre-construction
meetings with our partners to communicate and raise awareness of the importance of health
and safety among the teams on our work sites.
