Fred has been sharing its uniquely vibrant energy and

its   passion for colored jewelry ever since 1936 .

Drawing on this legacy , the Maison is celebrating

the   dawn of   the Sunshine Jeweler by unveiling

19   brand - new high jewelry designs in a collection

consisting of two   enchanting movements : 1936 and

Soleil d ’ Or Sunrise .

1936 recalls the year when , with the audacity of youth ,

28 - year - old Fred Samuel opened his first store in Paris ,

choosing Rue Royale and its elegant archways . He set

up his office under one of the arches – a secluded

vantage point between light and shadow – above

the   store . More than just a decorative detail : this arch

would go on to become one of   the Maison ’ s most

iconic motifs , inspiring its ten   designs of 1936 , with its

Art Deco line unfolding in   varying geometric forms

from piece to piece .

The second movement , Soleil d ’ Or Sunrise , draws

inspiration from the Maison ’ s 1977 discovery of an

exceptional yellow diamond of over 100 carats Its

dazzling color as though it had captured sunlight

itself fully embraces Fred Samuel s vision of radiant

jewelry The glowing luminosity of this famed diamond

is reflected in Soleil d Or Sunrise and its nine designs

with their graphic contemporary lines playing on the

different shades of the sun from the soft warm light

of sunrise to the sparkling brilliance of its zenith
