RUINART
Conversations
with Nature
Ruinart ’ s annual Conversations with Nature program
reflects a long - term vision informed by the Maison ’ s
commitment to art , design and sustainability .
Nature becomes subject , raw material and creative
partner in the permanent visual and sound installations
of Swiss artist Julian Charrière in the Maison ’ s UNESCO -
listed chalk cellars ; in the champagne vineyard - based
works of US artist Sam Falls ; and in Entre Nous , a sculp -
ture by French artist Lélia Demoisy in the gardens of
Ruinart ’ s 4 Rue des Crayères location in Reims .
Whether they are exploring the geological memory of
the chalk quarry cellars , allowing natural elements to
imprint the surface of their works or revealing the
invisible links between living organisms , each artist
offers a distinctive perspective shaped by close obser -
vation of ecosystems , and invites visitors to reflect on
the compelling environmental issues of our time .
Since 2019 , as part of the ten - year countdown to its
third centenary , every year Ruinart has unveiled a new
creative project in Reims that combines innovation
with creativity in this spirit of sustainability .
