Jonathan Anderson ’ s relaunched vision for Dior was

inaugurated in his Men ’ s Summer 2026 runway show ,

whose understated elegance echoed that of its

setting : a room inspired by the velvet - lined interiors of

Berlin ’ s Gemäldegalerie .

The walls were decorated with two unassumingly

beautiful paintings by Jean Siméon Chardin : Basket

of   Wild Strawberries , from the Louvre ’ s collections , and

A Vase of Flowers , on loan from the Scottish National

Gallery . As in a museum , where works from the past

are juxtaposed with everyday conversations , the

setting was an invitation to take a fresh , playful look at

the Maison ’ s archives as well as the present day .

The collection featured supple , leg - enveloping denim

designs , modernized tailcoats and 18th - and 19th - cen -

tury vests blurring the boundaries between day and

evening wear . Floral knits and delicate embroidery

added a romantic touch , while long capes injected an

air of theatrical drama .

Through this new lens Dior s past resonates with the

present while resolutely looking to the future
