second life , decarbonizing logistics and last - mile deliv -
eries , improving the air / sea ratio and supporting
suppliers , and harnessing synergies between the
Group ’ s Maisons . As an example of this last priority ,
Christian Dior Couture , Louis Vuitton and RIMOWA
have adopted a shared logistics model in the United
States , which lowers the carbon footprint of product
delivery , an initiative that won the Joining Forces prize
at the LIFE 360 Awards . The results for 2025 reflect
the Maisons ’ focus on climate matters , with a 37 %
reduction in Scope 1 & 2 GHG emissions , a 4 % reduc -
tion in Scope 3 emissions from agricultural prac -
tices and a 16 % reduction in Scope 3 emissions from
industrial processes .
STAKEHOLDERS
IN ACTION
LVMH ’ s employees put the Group ’ s environmental
ambition into practice . What makes the LIFE Academy
– the Group ’ s environmental training program – so
unique is its focus on putting theory into practice .
That ’ s the whole purpose of the set of learning tools
rolled out since 2023 , which ranges from “ The
Essentials ” ( an informative overview of key environ -
mental matters ) to “ Expert Insights ” ( specialized train -
ing to boost skills and reinvent professional practices ) .
A number of courses are held at the LIFE Academy ’ s
La Millière campus , a biodiversity reserve run by Yann
Arthus - Bertrand ’ s nonprofit that is an ideal location
for reconnecting with nature . The deployment of all
these various tools helped achieved a 20 - point
increase in the proportion of employees having com -
pleted environmental training to 59 % in 2025 .
Suppliers and subcontractors are another crucial
stakeholder group for the Group ’ s environmental tran -
sition . Under the LIFE 360 Business Partners program
launched in late 2023 , the Group is equipping itself to
support its suppliers with their transition . Standardizing
and simplifying data collection arrangements with the
backing of the sector trade federations , undertaking
joint innovation projects and sharing knowledge ( by
opening up the LIFE Academy to suppliers ) are its pri -
mary goals . Suppliers ’ close and active attention to this
area is essential for achieving a meaningful reduction
in indirect carbon emissions , and so is the assistance of
researchers , institutions and nonprofits : the complexity
of the environmental issues at stake calls for a truly col -
lective approach . Accordingly , as part of its continuous
improvement program , the Group relies on institutions
such as France ’ s Foundation for Research on Biodiversity
( FRB ) , has formed alliances with other manufacturers ,
such as the OP2B ( One Planet Business for Biodiversity )
and has set up its own research and innovation capa -
bilities under the auspices of LVMH Gaïa .
with a particular focus on measuring environmental
and social impacts in connection with nature certifi -
cates . All in all , 4 . 3 million hectares of flora and fauna
habitat were preserved or restored in 2025 . As part of
its water strategy unveiled in late 2023 , the Group
achieved a 19 % reduction in water withdrawal for its
production sites and workshops in 2025 ( relative to a
2019 baseline ) .
RIGOROUS CLIMATE
TRANSITION PLAN
The Group achieved its target of a 50 % reduction in
energy - related GHG emissions in 2024 , two years
ahead of schedule . In 2025 , LVMH ’ s new carbon tra -
jectory was endorsed by SBTi . It now aims even higher
and has set targets in absolute terms for 2030 versus
2023 , both for Scopes 1 & 2 ( 68 % reduction in energy -
related emissions ) and for Scope 3 ( 23 % reduction in
emissions from industrial processes ; 27 % reduction in
agriculture - related emissions ) . All the techniques set
out in the Group ’ s Environmental Transition Plan are
being harnessed to decarbonize value chains . They
will be adjusted according to the specific features of
each sector of activity : improving production and raw
material extraction practices , further developing
sustainable design and initiatives to give products a
