AT THE OPENING OF THE OSAKA - KANSAI WORLD EXPO IN APRIL 2025 ,
LVMH INAUGURATED THE FRANCE PAVILION As a Gold Partner of
this global event which ran until October 2025 LVMH represented by five
of its Maisons among the most renowned in Japan Louis Vuitton Dior Celine
Chaumet and Moët Hennessy showcased the expert craftsmanship bold
creativity and tradition of excellence it is known for in a tribute to the enduring
ties between France and Japan as reflected by the Group s over 11 000 employees
and around a thousand points of sale in the country The Pavilion was a huge
success with nearly 4 7 million visitors over these exceptional six months
Deeply rooted in the local culture , these Maisons have been key players
in the Japanese market for many years Starting in the 1860s Veuve Clicquot
and Hennessy began exporting their products to Japan Dior has held
fashion shows there since 1953 and Louis Vuitton opened its first stores
in the country in 1978 Today Japan alone accounts for 8 of global
revenue for LVMH which is also the country s leading French employer
This new World Expo was an opportunity for LVMH s Maisons to pay tribute
to their strong ties with Japan as well as a testament to their powerful
universal appeal
