The EU - funded project InnoWaTr sets out

to explore novel ways to establish

collaboratively managed supply chains

in inland shipping , so - called freight flow

coalitions ( FFC ) . A system constellation is

an equally novel way to venture into the

inner workings of these coalitions , to find

out what makes or breaks them . It can

be considered a form of investigative

practice to explore complex societal

and multi - stakeholder issues .

A constellation let the system speak for

itself literally This sound strange but

intuition is what makes it work In

InnoWaTr we tested it

illustrates how we used a constellation

to explore the most important question
