bremenports invited art students to experience inland shipping for

themselves by visiting one our locks and talking to crew on board of

our vessels .

This training kicked off the involvement of University of the Arts in

Bremen . We asked the young artists : “ What would we miss if there is

no inland shipping ? ”

Answers to this question finally lead to the exhibition WATERWAYS

which showcased results of student ' s artistic inquiries .

Another training session included an on -

stage discussion . We brought together a

ship owner , representatives of a ship

operator and crew for an inspiring talk on

social and economic issues of inland

shipping .
